Worship Booklet for the Easter Season
We are praying together a Eucharistic Prayer from Enriching Our Worship (1998) during Easter Season.
Jesus said, "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."
John 10:11
A good steward is a good shepherd. A good steward sees and responds to those in need, whether near or far A good shepherd cares, supports, encourages.
What's So Good About the Good Shepherd?
Both Psalm 23 and the Gospel reading from John present the familiar and tender image of God as our good shepherd. But was it always so? Our sermon series for the Easter Season “Tell Me Something Good” continues on Sunday, April 22, as we look at a scandalous image of Jesus that just might have become tamed and domesticated.
Is That In the Bible?
During the Easter Season the Adult Forum (9 am-Sifers Hall) is looking at the parts of the Bible which might not necessarily be the topics of songs in Sunday School. On Sunday, April 22, we are discussing "Too many wives: the Patriarchs and Polygamy." April 29: "What is the deal with all of the violence in the Old Testament?" Be there!

Daughters of the King
St. Bridget's Chapter of the Order of the Daughters of the King invites any woman at St. Aidan's who would like to become a Daughter to please contact Carolyn Sturgeon. There is a three-month preparation period required for membership which includes using a National Study Guide designed to help women prayerfully discern a call to become a member. We anticipate beginning the study in April and concluding with a Service of Admission in late June or early July. The study will be planned with the prospective members' schedules in mind. Please contact Carolyn Sturgeon for details, or come to St. Bridget's Chapter meeting after worship at 11:15 am on the Second Sunday of each month.
Easter Season Flowers
There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the narthex for Altar Flowers on Sundays during the Easter Season given in memory of loved ones or in thanksgiving for God’s many blessings. Flowers for Sunday, April 22, are given by Fr Shawn and Marcia Streepy in celebration of their anniversary.
Progress in the Meeting Place/Library - Thanks for the Hard Work!
You might have noticed some changes at St. Aidan’s. The room behind the altar to the left has been converted to a storage room with shelves, and the former Outreach Center off the entryway is being converted to a library/meeting room. More is getting accomplished every day, so thanks as always to our hardworking parish leadership!!
