You Are Welcome At Saint Aidan's Episcopal Church!
We are a loving community of followers of Jesus who worship joy-fully in the Episcopal tradition, support each other in prayer and fellowship, and serve the community through our outreach minis-tries. Please stay after worship so we can say hello. Whether it is through participating in the worship on Sunday morning, or through serving as the hands and feet of Jesus to the world by out-reach ministries, we know that you’ll find a home here at St. Aidan’s!!!
The Lord Is My Strength And My Song!
Our readings for the Second Sunday of Easter are: Acts 5:27-32; Psalm 118:14-29; Revelation 1:4-8; John 20:19-31
The Resurrected Jesus Gives The Disciples Their Marching Orders
In the Gospel reading, the resurrected Jesus appears to the disciples and offers tangible proof of his identity to his disciple Thomas. Most Christians know about “Doubting Thomas,” but there is an even more challenging aspect to the Gospel lesson, one which has generated controversy and schism. We will look at this subject in the sermon on Sunday, May 5.
Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you." John 20:21
Jesus offers two messages to his followers: be at peace, and get to work. As stewards, our work is to build up the kingdom Jesus preached, the kingdom of justice, love and peace.
