You Are Welcome At Saint Aidan's Episcopal Church!
We are a loving community of followers of Jesus who worship joyfully in the Episcopal tradition, support each other in prayer and fellowship, and serve the community through our outreach ministries. Please stay after worship so we can say hello. Whether it is through participating in the worship on Sunday morning, or through serving as the hands and feet of Jesus to the world by out-reach ministries, we know that you’ll find a home here at St Aidan’s!!!
Hallelujah! Praise the Name of the Lord!

Our readings for Sunday, May 19 are: Acts 11:1-18; Psalm 148; Revelation 21:1-6; John 13:31-35.

A New Commandment
On Sunday, May 19, we continue our Sermon Series for the Easter Season about the “Dreaded ‘E’ Word,” a word so frightening that it is never even whispered inside most churches.

Today’s sermon: Jesus gives us both marching orders and inspiration to get into the game.
Jesus said "This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." John 13:35

Jesus sets a high bar for discipleship, that we so obviously one one another that other people will recognize it. And even though this particular verse speaks of loving only one another, Jesus clearly wants us to love everyone, especially those we may not be inclined to love.

Toiletry Items for Homeless Shelters

Collecting Winter Coats for the Johnson County Christmas Bureau
Now that the long winter seems finally over, don’t move that gently used winter coat to the back of the closet! Bring it to St. Aidan’s and donate it to the Johnson County Christmas Bureau. Barrels for collecting coats are in the entryway. Thank you for your generosity.
NEW PARISH DIRECTORY!
We are in the process of putting together a new picture Parish Directory, and this time you get to choose the photograph of yourself that you would like included in the directory.

Please email those photos to the church at staidansolathe@sbcglobal.net by Thursday, August 1.

There is no truth to the rumor that if you do not submit a photo, a group of high school boys will scour the internet looking for silly pictures to use as your personal photo (check out this darling). Well, there might be some truth to the rumor, so please submit those photos for our new directory! Blessings.
