The mission of St. Aidan's is to make disciples by proclaiming Christ as Lord and making a difference in our community.
Sunday Worship at St. Aidan's ...
9 am: Christian Education; 10 am: Worship, Children's Chapel and Nursery
Saturday: 5 pm Worship
You Are Welcome At Saint Aidan's Episcopal Church!
We are a loving community of followers of Jesus who worship joyfully in the Episcopal tradition, support each other in prayer and fellowship, and serve the community through our outreach ministries. Please stay after worship so we can say hello. Whether it is through participating in the worship on Sunday morning, or through serving as the hands and feet of Jesus to the world by out-reach ministries, we know that you’ll find a home here at St Aidan’s!!!
Happy Father's Day! June 16
If you forgot to get a gift, we will have ties for sale for $100.00 each in the library after worship on June 16. All proceeds go to the church.
Glory to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

Our readings for Sunday, June 16 are: Proverbs 8:1-4, 22-31; Psalm 8; Romans 5:1-5; John 16:12-15.

Trinity Sunday - June 16
Sunday, June 16, is Trinity Sunday, a Holy Day set aside to honor the unique Christian doctrine of the Trinity as proclaimed in the Nicene Creed: God is Three-in-One, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. For two millennia, the Trinity has so vexed the learned and the faithful that today is also called “Heresy Sunday.” In our sermon we will discuss that the Trinity is not so much understood as experienced.
"...because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us." Romans 5:5

God's love has indeed been poured into our hearts, not only for our benefit but for the benefit of all whom assist. Often we are conduit through which God's love flows to others.
Celebration of the Sacrament of Baptism
Sunday morning, June 16, we receive Daisy Jordan Wolfe into the household of God through the sacrament of Holy Baptism. Please congratulate her parents David and Natalie Wolfe and her grandparents after worship.
I am currently doing the July-August ROTA! Those of you on the ROTA who know the dates you are unavailable during the summer months, please email the church office and let me know. as soon as possible!
staidansolathe@sbcglobal.net.

Also Remember: If you are unable to be at church on the Sunday you are assigned, please find a replacement - switch Sundays with someone.

Thank you,
Sharon Seidel
Church Secretary

Collecting Winter Coats for the Johnson County Christmas Bureau Through June 30
Now that the long winter seems finally over, don’t move that gently used winter coat to the back of the closet! Bring it to St. Aidan’s and donate it to the Johnson County Christmas Bureau. Barrels for collecting coats are in the entryway. Thank you for your generosity.

We are collecting coats through the month of June.
Annual Underwear Drive for Olathe Schools through July 28
Even though it seems as though school just got out, we are close to our annual Underwear Drive for Olathe school children of all ages. We will also do the shopping for you – just write “Underwear” on the memo line of a check to the church. Last year we collected well over our goal of 415 pair of underwear thanks to the generosity of St Aidan’s. Please see Kathy Mencer (913 592-5413) for details.

NEW PARISH DIRECTORY!
We are in the process of putting together a new picture Parish Directory, and this time you get to choose the photograph of yourself that you would like included in the directory.

Please email those photos to the church at staidansolathe@sbcglobal.net by Thursday, August 1.

There is no truth to the rumor that if you do not submit a photo, a group of high school boys will scour the internet looking for silly pictures to use as your personal photo (check out this darling). Well, there might be some truth to the rumor, so please submit those photos for our new directory! Blessings.
