Peter is thrilled to experience the glorious majesty of Jesus seen in the Transfiguration. Later on, Peter gave his all to spread the gospel of Jesus. Although we haven't seen the Transfiguration, we like Peter, are invited to spread the gospel by our words and actions.

Shrove Tuesday Neighborhood Pancake Supper, February 25
Join us for the Shrove Tuesday Neighborhood Pancake Supper from 5 to 6:30 pm Tuesday, February 25. Sponsored by the Vestry of St. Aidan's, we are serving pancakes and Sausage with the fixings.

Donations $4 per person, $10 per family requested by not required. Please reserve a seat to get an accurate count for our cooks. Proceeds go to the Lenten Study Program. Reservation by phone to Don Hutchinson at 816-536-4083, voice or text, or Sundays in the foyer.
Ash Wednesday Worship, February 26
Lent officially starts on Ash Wednesday with worship and imposition of Ashes on February 26 at 7 pm.
Ash Wednesday Reading from Lenten Meditations 2020*
"As a father has compassion for his children, so does the Lord care for those who fear him. For he himself knows wherof we are made; he remembers that we are but dust. Our days are like the grass; we flouish like a flower of the field. Psalm 103:13-15.
Lenten Program: Tuesdays, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 3/31, 4/7

*Episcopal Relief and Development Lenten Meditations 2020. We will discuss the daily readings every Tuesday over a traditional soup supper. Can't attend? pick up your booklets at Church and attend when and if you can.
St. Patrick’s Day Dinner - March 14
St. Patrick’s Dinner is on Saturday, March 14. 5:30-social time, 6:00-dinner. Come join us for great food (corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, Irish soda bread and dessert) and great fellowship. 
All proceeds will help fund St Aidan’s budget in 2020. Tickets are $20 per person, children 8 and under eat free! Tickets will be sold Feb 23rd and Mar 1st and 8th. If you would like to help, please contact Don or Janet Seifert. 
Give the Gift of Episcopal MegaCamp to the Parish Youth

As a parish we look to the future of the Church and give the gift of Summer Episcopal MegaCamp to our campers by raising the money to cover all of their costs – please give generously to our young people! Please write “Mega Camp” on the memo line of your check.
OUTREACH

BackSnack Packing
Wednesdays at 5 pm at St. Aidan's

During the school year we pack healthy weekend “BackSnacks” for the students at five area elementary schools. Don Seifert is our BackSnack Coordinator.
 
Center of Grace - February 27
Fourth Thursday of The Month

Please pitch in and help serve the Community Meal at the Center of Grace, 520 S Harrison, Olathe. Cooks at 1 pm, servers at 5 pm, and clean-up crew at 6 pm. See Barb Belt (913 515-9001) for more information. 

Desserts can be dropped off at St. Aidan's by Noon on that Thursday.

Toiletry Items for Homeless Shelters
Please bring personal-size toiletry items and put them in the basket in the entryway. Blessings.
