Adult Forum - Sunday November 3
The Theology of Grief and Loss

Deacon John Bullock will lead the introduction of the Christian theology of grief and loss. Sometimes we wonder where God is, or what God is up to, when we experience trauma, loss, and grief. Loss can take many forms. We will explore and discuss how theologians have viewed loss and what it means in our own experience of faith.

Adult Forum - November 10: Russ Sifers will share his journey with grief in the loss of loved ones, resources that helped him and how he uses them in his Grief Ministry to others.

Adult Forum - November 17: Pam Gardner will share her use of art and music in Grief Ministry. The grief that happens at times that do not involve a death of a person but other major transitions in life where what once was, is gone and the grief involved

... By participating in adult forum, you will receive a model for providing one on one grief ministry and ideas for parish ministry. In addition, you will see examples of art used as a basis for prayer, solace and comfort such as prayer flags, prayer cards and quilts. You will also receive a worksheet for creating your own ministry focused pieces of art.
