Stewardship Pledge Drive 2023 (New Information)

This year the theme of our Stewardship Pledge Drive is 'New Wine'. "New wine must be put into new wineskins." Luke 5:38

  • Now that our New Wine bottle is on display its time for us to fill it up. In the coming weeks, as pledges come in, you’ll be able to see our progress through the “Wine-O-Meter.” Our goal is $155,000 and with your help, we can reach it!

  • From Sunday, November 6 through the 30th we will draw out one pledge card each week and the winner will receive a bottle of wine. You must get your pledge in by, or before, November 20 to win.

  • Pledge Cards are due on Sunday, November 20.
Thanksgiving In Action!
This is the 2nd year St. Aidan’s will be collecting food to assist Olathe's First Christian Church Thanksgiving in Action program. This program provides a complete Thanksgiving meal to Olathe families in need. Last year St. Aidan's supplied 22 of the almost 700 boxes that were distributed. This year, can we do more?

Below is a list of items that you will need to purchase for each box.

  • You can buy a few items a week, if you want, but the complete list needs to be at the church no later than November 13th.

The First Christian Church Olathe will add a turkey, a container of whipped topping, a package of rolls, a bottle of oil, a bag of flour and a bag of sugar when they distribute these groceries the week before Thanksgiving.

  • Starfish has donated cans of cream of mushroom soup that are now located in the library with the boxes. When you take a box to fill for the Thanksgiving in Action, please take a can of soup. It will be one less item you have to buy. Thank you Starfish (and Sarah Smith) for the soup and for all of you who are purchasing food for this important ministry.

1 Jar Turkey Gravy

1 Can of Sweet Potatoes

1 Pkg of Small Marshmallows

3 Cans of Green Beans

1 Can of Cream of Mushroom Soup

1 Pkg or Can of French-Fried Onion Rings

1 Graham Cracker Pie Crust

1 Pkg of Instant Pudding

1 Pkg of Cake Mix

1 Can of Frosting

1 Can Cranberry Sauce

1 Can Creamed Corn

1 Can Whole Kernel Corn

1 Box of Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix

1 Can of Fruit

1 Pkg of Stuffing Mix

1 Pkg of Instant Mashed Potatoes

1 Bag of Chips or Pretzels

Thank you for your participation in this important ministry. Lists are available to pick up at church on Sunday if you’d like a hard copy.

If you have any questions, please contact Janet Seifert at (913) 449-8960.
Angel Tree Ministry-2022
Angel Tree Is Coming To St Aidan's Again This Year!

Daughters of the King are planning to assist St Aidan's with Angel Tree Prison Fellowship and purchasing gifts for children of incarcerated parents. We plan to have "Angels" for you to choose a gift as soon as we receive the list of families participating in this program. We hope this will be before Thanksgiving! Thanks to all who have helped in past years - we so appreciate your participation in this very worthy ministry.
Barb Belt.
