We give thanks for the birthday of Sherry Suddarth and for the anniversary of James and Carolyn Sturgeon.
The Back to School Underwear drive was a success! The event happened on July 28, as kids are preparing to go back to school. Thank you all for your contributions!
Memorial Service for Dr. Tom Taylor - Saturday August 6, 2022

There is a memorial service for Dr. Tom Taylor at St. Aidan's on Saturday, August 6 at 11:00 am.
Discretionary Fund Sunday - August 7, 2022
The first Sunday of each month is Discretionary Fund Sunday. The Discretionary Fund is used to help those in need of financial assistance for lodging, gas and utilities, etc. We also provide food assistance . See below.
St. Aidan's Food Ministry - Sunday August 7, 2022
Our Food Ministry collects the following items for food bags for those in need. Our current supply is low.

Items may be dropped off during office hours or on Sunday on the tables in the nursery area. These items are from Harvesters Most Wanted List. Your donation makes a difference! (No glass please!)

Food and Toiletries
Canned vegetables (low sodium)
Canned fruits in 100% juice
Dried fruit (no added sugar preferred)
Canned chicken, tuna, salmon (packed in water)
Brown rice
Whole grain pasta
Dried beans or canned low sodium beans
Peanut, almond, or sun butter
Canned soup (chicken, tomato or vegetable)
Cereal – hot and cold (whole grain, low sugar preferred)
Household Products
Soap
Deodorant
Shampoo

Dinner and a Movie: "The Mission" - Wednesday, August 17, 6:30 pm
Bring a snack or popcorn to share
BYO drinks and wine
Movies will be shown in Sifers Hall; bring a lawn chair.
Dinner and a movie starts at 6:30 pm.
JCFM at Center of Grace - Thursday, August 25

St. Aidan's helps prepare and hand out meals at Center of Grace in Olathe, on the fourth Thursday of the month. August 25 is our next dinner service.
Dinner prep is at 3:00 pm and at 5:00 pm we distribute food at Center of Grace.

*** Also, we need and would appreciate your help by bringing individually wrapped desserts for the Center of Grace to St. Aidan's by 1 pm on that Thursday.

Episcopal Cursillo 2-Day Weekend Sept. 23-25

The Heartland Episcopal Cursillo of the Dioceses of West Missouri and Kansas, including the Metropolitan Kansas City area, is pleased to present an Episcopal Cursillo Two-Day Weekend on September 23‐25, 2022. The weekend will take place at the Heartland Retreat Center in Parkville Missouri, in north-western KC metro area.
