Noon Day Prayer with Fr. Tom

Join Father Tom for Noon Day Prayer on Wednesdays.
It is live on Facebook.
Jesus said, "Cast the net over the right side of the boat and you'll find something." John 21:6
Living the Christian faith often leads to unexpected finds. It helps if we're open to these new gifts from God.
JCCFM - Center of Grace: Thursday, April 28

HELP UKRAINIAN REFUGEES!
Episcopal Relief & Development is partnering with Anglican agencies and other ecumenical partners to provide humanitarian aid in response to the refugee crisis caused by the war in Ukraine. Partner with Episcopal Relief & Development by donating to the International Disaster Response Fund. Your support will help meet critical needs for people fleeing the violence including food, cash, blankets and hygiene supplies. Helptoday | Read more about the response.
Discretionary Sunday Sunday, May 1
The first Sunday of each month is Discretionary Sunday. All plate cash and checks marked Discretionary go to the Rector’s Discretionary Fund. This fund is used to help those in need of financial assistance for gas, food, housing, etc.
BackSnacks

St. Aidan’s is in our second decade of working with five Olathe Elementary Schools in this important ministry.

Our Drivers pick up BackSnacks and deliver them to these five schools, so the students get healthy weekend snacks all school year.

... See St. Aidan's Facebook and Web page for more information about BackSnacks.
JCFM at Center of Grace

St. Aidan's helps prepare and hand out meals at Center of Grace in Olathe, on the fourth Thursday of the month. April 28 is our next dinner service.

Dinner prep is at 3:00 pm and at 5:00 pm we distribute food at Center of Grace.

Also, we would appreciate your help by bringing individually wrapped desserts for the Center of Grace to St. Aidan's by 2 pm on that Thursday.

Sustaining Earth, Our Island Home
“I would like to share with you an initiative from the National Episcopal Church's office of the Most Rev. Michael Curry. "Sustaining Earth, Our Island Home" tackles the Episcopal Church's pledge for the care of creation and provides support for individuals and parishes seeking to take those incremental steps toward living in a more sustainable, moral manner when it comes to the impact we have upon the Earth and our capacity to continue to live on it. To paraphrase Bishop Bascom the biggest environmental problems are not biodiversity, water usage, or climate change but greed, selfishness, and apathy.

To learn more about this program, please visit http://www.sustainislandhome.org/ and enroll yourself in this program. Please remember to list St. Aidan’s, Olathe as your parish. Our Bishop will reward the parish with the most participation.”
