We give thanks for the birthdays of Neil Powers and Chris Burbach.
Jesus said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer." Luke 22:15
Jesus, aware that his actions are leading to his arrest, is eager to run the course, complete the race. And he wants to enjoy the company of his followers one final time. As we run our course and complete our race, be aware that the Lord is with us each step of the way.
Easter Sunday, April 17
Please join us for in-person worship at 10:00 am on Easter Sunday, April 17, followed by refreshments in Sifers Hall, our fellowship room.

Please mark "Memorial" on check.
Mark Your Calendar: Women's Summit in Wichita, April 22-23
"Celebrating God's World: the Earth, the People and Their Faith"

Friday, April 22, is the 50th Anniversary of the first Earth Day. Taking advantage of that, most of our program Friday evening will focus on creation care.

On Saturday, April 23 we will focus on interfaith issues. In this everchanging world, it is more and more important to follow the words of this quote from Sr. Joan Chittister: "Nothing will bring world peace faster than the opening of our lives to cultures and religions unlike ours."

BackSnacks

St. Aidan’s is in our second decade of working with five Olathe Elementary Schools in this important ministry.

Our Drivers pick up BackSnacks and deliver them to these five schools, so the students get healthy weekend snacks all school year.

... See St. Aidan's Facebook and Web page for more information about BackSnacks.
JCFM at Center of Grace

St. Aidan's helps prepare and hand out meals at Center of Grace in Olathe, on the fourth Thursday of the month. April 28 is our next dinner service.

Dinner prep is at 3:00 pm and at 5:00 pm we distribute food at Center of Grace.

Also, we would appreciate your help by bringing individually wrapped desserts for the Center of Grace to St. Aidan's by 2 pm on that Thursday.

Sustaining Earth, Our Island Home
“I would like to share with you an initiative from the National Episcopal Church's office of the Most Rev. Michael Curry. "Sustaining Earth, Our Island Home" tackles the Episcopal Church's pledge for the care of creation and provides support for individuals and parishes seeking to take those incremental steps toward living in a more sustainable, moral manner when it comes to the impact we have upon the Earth and our capacity to continue to live on it. To paraphrase Bishop Bascom the biggest environmental problems are not biodiversity, water usage, or climate change but greed, selfishness, and apathy.

To learn more about this program, please visit http://www.sustainislandhome.org/ and enroll yourself in this program. Please remember to list St. Aidan’s, Olathe as your parish. Our Bishop will reward the parish with the most participation.”
