Sunday is the last day to bring donations for Thanksgiving In Action.

Grocery List for Thanksgiving Food Distribution at First Christian Church Olathe on Thursday, November 20th. Bring to church by Nov 16.

Please collect these items in a box.

1 jar Turkey Gravy

1 can sweet potatoes

1 pkg small marshmallows

3 cans green beans

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 pkg or can of French-fried onion rings

1 graham cracker pie crust

1 pkg of instant pudding

1 box brownie mix

1 can cranberry sauce

2 cans whole kernel corn

1 box Jiffy corn muffin mix

1 can of fruit

1 pkg instant mashed potatoes

1 pkg Jello

1 48-oz bottle cooking oil

1 4-lb bag sugar

1 26oz container of Salt

First Christian Church Olathe will add a turkey or chicken, a container of whipped topping, butter and a package of dinner rolls when we distribute these groceries on Thur, Nov 20.

Advent Quiet Day : Attend to the Promises of God

December 6, 2025

In an age in which your attention is a premium commodity, we invite you to attend to the promises of God. Quiet Days are not silent; they offer guided reflection and conversation. Designed and led by The Rev Canon Lisa Senuta and Donna Kehoe, Spiritual Director, expect spiritual learning, space for prayer, and guided conversation with others. Focusing on the miraculous birth narratives in the Bible we will use poetry, music, and teachings from saints and mystics to help you attend to God's promises in your life as it is and for the life of the world God loves so much.

Let it Be, the spirituality of Mary of Nazareth

An Advent Quiet Day at Church of the Epiphany in Independence KS.Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. The day will begin at 9am with coffee and check in. Beginning at 9:30am Canon Lisa Senuta will guide you through times of spiritual learning, personal reflection, and listening groups. Christian Contemplative Prayer

Have you always wanted to know more about meditation practices within Christian faith? This is a short course on Christian Contemplative prayer. Canon Lisa Senuta will guide this class and offer ways to support your own at home practice.

Great is God's Faithfulness

We all need a “bridge over troubled waters” yet we seldom intentionally learn what the scriptures, and spiritual teachers have to say about the importance of grief in our lives. This zoom course is for people who desire to spend some time reflecting on the positive process of grief that energizes us for new ways of being, living and trusting God.

BackSnack Program

2025-2026

St. Aidan’s is partnering again with Harvesters in the Backsnack program. This year we will be partnering with four Olathe Elementary Schools.

Summer is upon us, and Back snack will resume in October. The Pack are to be picked up on Wednesdays, and delivered on Thursdays.

Johnson County Food Ministry at Center of Grace

St. Aidan's helps prepare and hand out meals at Center of Grace in Olathe, on the fourth Thursday of the month. Dinner prep is at 3:00 pm and at 5:00 pm we distribute food at Center of Grace.

Next Outreach at Center of Grace is on January 2026

*** Also, we need your help by bringing individually wrapped desserts for the Center of Grace to St. Aidan's by noon on that Thursday.
