During worship this morning, we will bless our Pledges of Support for our Ministries of Prayer and Service. The theme chosen for this year’s Stewardship Season has been “On This Rock.” In the words of Stewardship Chair Gloria Kelley, “Aside from the obvious biblical reference, the idea of a rock as strong, firm, a shelter and a protection from storms seems to exemplify all that is St. Aidan's. This parish has faced many challenges and still holds securely to its past, its promise and its purpose, like a rock.” Thank you and God bless you.
Pledge cards were mailed to you this week. Also, pledge cards are included in the Bulletin and extras are available in the Narthex.
Winds of Harmony: Our special musical guests are the Winds of Harmony. The words and music to Psalm 90 (the congregation will join the Winds in singing the refrain) the Sanctus, and the Lord’s Prayer are included with the bulletin; the other hymns are in the Green Hymnal.
Casserole Luncheon: After worship we will celebrate with an All Cook Casserole Luncheon hosted by the Church Basement Ladies in Sifers Hall.

"Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?"
Talk about a softball question! Though meant to entrap, it allowed Jesus to succinctly describe his message: love God, love your neighbor and love yourself.
ALL SAINTS' DAY - November 5th
We will celebrate the Saints in our lives and renew our Baptismal Vows on Sunday, November 5. There is a special insert in the bulletin for naming your saints; please place it in the alms basin or return it to the plastic holder on the door to the church office. There are also extra forms on the table in the Narthex.
Angel Tree Starts - November 12th
Angel Tree is a holiday ministry through which the parish obtains Christmas presents for the children of incarcerated parents. We have received the names of the 15 children we are sponsoring this Christmas – watch for the tree in the garden starting on Sunday, November 12. If you have any questions, please see Marcia Streepy (913 660-5646).

Adult Forumhas reconvened at Saint Aidan's. We are discussing the Gospel of Mark - Mark is considered the first Gospel, it is definitely the shortest Gospel, and it will be the Gospel we will hearing at Holy Eucharist during the next Liturgical Year starting on December 4. It is also my favorite Gospel.
We are meeting in Sifers Hall at 9 am. Please grab a cup of delicious coffee and join us for our new Adult Forum program. We will wrap up our Adult Forum by 9:35 am so we can all prepare for worship.
Also - if you would like to receive a weekly email in advance of the Adult Forum including the passage we will be discussing and some comments about it,please contact Father Shawn Streepy.
Thank you and God bless you!!
