Adult Forum Sunday, November 24 at 9 am

There is Adult Forum on Sunday, November 24!

Don Hutchinson will share the Final Convention Brief, Minister Teams and New Diocesan Task Forces.

Annual Joint Thanksgiving Worship with St. Mark's Lutheran Church on November 24 at 5 pm.

Sunday, November 24 at 5 pm at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. St. Mark's will provide meat, gravy, and stuffing. Side dishes and desserts are brought to share by those planning to attend. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board.

Thanksgiving Prayer

Almighty and gracious Father, we give you thanks for the fruits of the earth in their season and for the labors of those who harvest them. Make us, we pray, faithful stewards of your great bounty, for the provision of our necessities and the relief of all who are in need, to the glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

The New Testament proclaims Jesus as Priest, Prophet, and King. Sunday we celebrate Christ as King!

Even in his darkest time, as death approached, Jesus remained king. And as king, Jesus assured the criminal that all would be well for him. In our dark times, let’s remember that Jesus’ promise extends to us too.

Angel Tree: Tree Is Up - Angels Have Arrived!

Angel Tree ® is a ministry which provides holiday gifts to the children of an incarcerated parent.

St. Bridget’s Chapter of the Daughters of the King® will be St. Aidan's Angel Tree® Christmas Coordinators, led by Barb Belt and Carolyn Sturgeon.

For the four Sundays of Advent, The Adult Forum will engage the book Watch for the Light, a collection of daily readings that will help us go deeper into the season of Advent. Come prepared to discuss your experience of the first week’s readings on the first Sunday of Advent, December 1! The readings begin on November 24–see the table of contents in the photo below. The church has ordered copies of the book, and they are available for purchase for $15. If you prefer to borrow a copy, that is okay too. Or, you may order your own copy from Amazon or your local bookshop.

All Parish Budget Meeting - Sunday, December 1

It’s the time of the year when we talk facts and figures as we look at the Parish Budget for 2020. Please stay after worship next Sunday for the All-Parish Budget forum facilitated by the Finance Committee.

BackSnack Packing Resumes - Wednesday, December 4

BackSnack Packing is on Wednesdasy at 5 pm. During the school year we pack healthy weekend “BackSnacks” for the students at five area elementary schools. Don Seifert is our BackSnack Coordinator. Come help with this rewarding outreach!

Toiletry Items for Homeless Shelters

Know how good a warm shower feels on a cold day? Share that feeling with the homeless in our midst. Please bring personal-size toiletry items and put them in the basket in the entryway. Blessings.

The Hope Grows Here Stewardship Campaign for 2020 concluded with Commitment Sunday on October 27.

The final Stewardship letter was mailed earlier this week. It is attached below.

Thank you to all for your pledges. Your faithful stewardship will help sustain all the ways St. Aidan's is our church home, and allow us to be of service to our community.

If you have not had a chance to turn in your pledge card, it is not too late! Please bring your pledge card to church, or drop it in the mail. Contact the church office if you need an extra pledge card.
