Adult Forum: Religions of the World
The Adult Forum is looking at the other major religions of the world and comparing and contrasting them with Christianity.
We meet in Sifers Hall at 9 am on Sunday. Adult Forum Resumes Sunday, January 6 at 9 am.

EfM is a unique four-year distance learning certificate program in theological education based upon small-group study and practice. Since its founding in 1975, this international program has assisted more than 80,000 participants in discovering and nurturing their call to Christian service. EfM helps the faithful encounter the breadth and depth of the Christian tradition and bring it into conversation with their experiences of the world as they study, worship, and engage in theological reflection together.
All of this is true and accurate, but the reason I am contacting the parish about EfM is that it builds Christian community through shared study and discussion of the scriptures, church history, and contemporary issues and proven practices of theological reflection. In fact, I know of no better experience to build Christian community than EfM; even though my experience in EfM was almost 20 years ago, I value the experience and friendships more than any other formation for ministry I have experienced (and I have a certificate from the original Diocese of Kansas School of Ministry and a Master of Divinity Degree). If you want to love God with your heart and mind and soul and spirit, and if you want to love your neighbor as yourself, I know of no better way to walk this path than in EfM.
