Saturday / Sunday Worship
The Book of Common Prayer and Holy Scripture provide the outline and substance for our liturgy. We use Rite I prayers during the season of Lent which are the forty days between Ash Wednesday and Easter. During the other seasons, we use Rite II prayers. The Saturday Evening worship has some instrumental music but generally does not include singing. The Sunday morning worship will include a combination of contemporary and traditional hymns which may be accompanied by pipe organ, piano or on some occasions by flute, guitars and other acoustic instruments. Generally both services include four readings from Holy Scripture, a homily and Holy Communion. On occasion, Saturday evening worship may be a Service of Evening Prayer. The worship services are led by a priest, a deacon and lay persons.
